Hamilton's Chief Planner Steve Robichaud used his delegated authority for heritage "minor alternations" to renew the heritage permits for the rebuild of 27 Bold Street in Downtown Hamilton.

The new local owner Paven Bratch required the renewal as the 2015 permits approved by the full Heritage Committee were due to expire.

The building, known as the Pasadena Apartments, was completely gutted by a fire on February 20, 2014.

Bratch purchased the building - along with a group of investors - after the fire, and began restoration work to restore the building as 32 condo units.
